Matt Murray paid a visit to the children and staff at Broadmeadow Special Community Nursery School in July to open their brand new sensory gymnasium and ball pool.
Broadmeadow is a special needs school based in Wolverhampton, currently catering for 40 pupils aged 2-7. Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have a long association with the school which is only five minutes from Molineux and in November 2007 donated £13,800 to enable Broadmeadow to start the building of their new facility. £6,900 of the money dontated was raised from the sale of a Player's Caldndar, which featured Matt and some other current players including Michael Kightly and Matt Jarvis.
Wolves Aid have further donated £20,000 which adds to the £155,000 raised by the school and other organisations including; The Baily Thomas Charitable Trust, Eveson Trust and The Lady Taverners
Matt said: "I was delighted to be able to return to Broadmeadow to open the new facility. A few of us came up with the idea of the caldender and we were amazed at the response it got. The club has dontated a huge sum of money to the school and it is fantastic to see the impact it is having on the pupils."
