A special project at Broadmeadow Special Nursery School, funded in part by Wolves Aid, part of Wolves Community Trust, is now officially under way.
Since 2007 the Nursery has been trying to raise £185,000 to acquire a new-build sensory gymnasium and ball pool.
Wolves Aid made an initial donation of £13,800 to start the process, following the impressive sales from a 2008 topless calender featuring members of the Wolves Squad and ever since Broadmeadow have slowly but surely raised more, finally getting to £140,000.
The nursery were advised that only once they reached £160,000 could the build begin, so to make this happen Wolves Aid recently offered them a further donation of £20,000, taking the club’s contribution to £33,800.
This additional figure means that building work can now get under way, and the development can begin to take shape.
The building work should be completed in around six months, so keep checking www.wolvescommunitytrust.org.uk for more information as to how the project is progressing.
