Wolves Community Trust believes it is important to provide opportunities for all children to participate in physical activity, in a safe environment and under the instruction of professional coaches. We offer an extensive range of activities to primary schools in and around the Wolverhampton area.
After school sessions run for an hour at the end of the school day and can vary from a short six week programme to a programme which runs for the full academic year. The children are coached on a different football topic each week and will have the chance to play in small sided games and other competitions. Each child that attends will receive a certificate of attendance.
Wolves Community Trust offers schools the opportunity of helping to manage their staff’s PPA time. Our qualified coaches can provide non contact time for staff by delivering activities which fulfil the units of the PE national curriculum. A range of activities can be taught which include hockey, tennis, tag-rugby and cricket and basketball.
Sponsored Penalty Shootouts have proved to be a great fundraiser for both schools and Wolves Community Trust. They take place during school time on a day agreed by both parites. Prior to the day each child within the school will be given a letter and sponsor form to take home to and ask family and friends to sponsor them. On the selected day each pupil will take 3 penalties against Wolves Community Trust Goalkeepers and the Wolves mascot Wolfie. After the sponsorship money has been collected, a presentation assembly will take place during which certificates and prizes are awarded to the participants.
