Wolves keeper Marcus Hahnemann has been presented with the ‘Wolves Community Trust Player of the Season’ award in recognition of his huge contribution to local community projects over the past year.
He won the award for frequently giving up his own time after training to support a number of Wolves Community Trust (WCT) initiatives, including attended a number of soccer schools to pass on hints and tips to youngsters on how to become a professional footballer.
This year he has also been the face of ‘Premier League Reading Stars’, which encourages parents and children to read together to enhance their reading skills and development.
On top of this he recently helped young people from The Princes Trust to paint a mural at Eastfields Community Centre as part of the Premier League Places for Players initiative.
Throughout the year Marcus has fully engaged with all of the projects he has been a part of, and made a real difference to many WCT initiatives. This is the second year that WCT has presented the award, with Captain Karl Henry winning it last year.
